Ok, so the point of this post is that you want everyone to tell you how much they love you, right?

Posted: 12/17/04 at 1:20pmIf each one of us posted a thread like this when our egos needed inflating, this board would be nothing but these threads. MFL, your stock just dropped a point, but you're still valued.

MFL, I think EVERYONE has something to contribute around here.
Why are you so "down" on yourself?
I'M SURE you would be missed if you left--WE ALL play a part in making the BWW Community the enriching place it is.
Please don't leave--I'm SURE you would be missed.
Regards,
M.E.

Posted: 12/17/04 at 1:23pmI'm sick, I'm bored and I belong to musicals.net. They just made a list of Most Important People and it made me sad. It's not that I'm so pathetic that I need internet popularity because I have no friends but I just had to post it. Especially since some of my friends' parents are buggign their computers and if that happens to me I probably wouldn't be allowed here.

Posted: 12/17/04 at 1:23pmI would miss you. I must admit, while I don't think I'm a boring loser (although I'm sure there are some who would disagree), I often wonder if I would be missed. Probably not. But I'm sticking around anyway. And you should too!

Hey Ckeaton,
How about breathing in and out and cutting MFL some slack?
You deride a person when they're at their most vulnerable.
Nicely done--especially given the fact that this is the Holiday Season.

C'mon LF,
I would certainly miss you.
As I posted, we all bring something unique to BWW.
I look forward to reading all different kinds of posts from all different kinds of members (except for the 8,712 threads on the Main Board about WICKED.)

Posted: 12/17/04 at 1:33pmIt's not even that I would want to leave. No matter what I would always lurk. But if my parents bugged my computer and banned me from posting then I would want to know if I would have any affect or if it would just be like another shill just blowing away. :) :P

Posted: 12/17/04 at 1:39pmdo you feel better now? is your ego all healed? is bww all that and more for filling your empty good feeling cup? if your life is so empty that you must seek validation from strangers online then you need to unhook the modem and step out into the sunlight.

While it's always nice to be on people's "best" lists, true self-esteem comes from within: from mastering new tasks, developing impulse control, knowing your strengths and weaknesses, learning how to solve problems, making and keeping friends, owning and evaluating your own accomplishments, and developing a sense of personal integrity. Do a little of this every day, and you won't care when you're not on a list--and appreciate it for what it is when you ARE.
If I had learned to reduce my need for external validation when I was your age, I would have been happier earlier.

Papa~There's no need to be mean. She's 13 and that's what 13 year-olds do.
And yes, MFL, you would be missed. Anyone would be. But don't worry about getting validation from people. I know that you feel it's necessary, and you will for awhile (if not for a long time, hell, I still want validation sometimes too.) Just know that you're important to someone all the time, so don't worry so much.

Posted: 12/17/04 at 1:43pmI'll try but I'm very insecure. If I ever say that I actually have a talent or an aptitude at something, people say I'm conceited which caused me to be very insecure.

Posted: 12/17/04 at 1:58pmWhatever Papa said, MFL, learn to ignore it. I can't see what he wrote (and I don't want to!) because he's on my BLOCKED USERS list. He's a sad case, always doing what psychologists call "acting out," because he's obviously a deeply unhappy man, but life is too short to put up with people like that. Best just to feel pity and avoid their psychotic "acting out."
