I was so happy to finally see really HOT guys that can really sing on Idol last night. WOW. I will be watching this year.

I hate how the industry is so "Looks" driven instead of "talent" driven. I would rather listen to a butt ugly person with a GREAT voice than a hot person with an "ok" or bad voice.

A performers ability to elicit sexual desire is a powerful money producing force.

Producers know that consumers like mejusthavingfun will shell out cash and time to get that sexual "hit" while being entertained.

So while it is true that talent should be the sole factor in determining who gets exposure. Commerce ditates - and this is a business, lets not forget - that whoever can get your attention and your cash will be the ones produced first.

There are some cute guys, and OF COURSE it matters what you look like.

It's POP music folks, not the Philharmonic.

And this started even before Elvis: think of the swooning over Sinatra or Rudy Vallee or Baker...their "good looks" helped propel their careers.

If I didn't think Eminem was hot, I'd be MUCH less inclined to buy his music.

But he is, so I am.
