I am playing Linus in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown next month, and I am having trouble finding a shirt for the role. I would like to wear a red shirt with thin black stripes as Linus usually wears, but I haven't been able to find any in stores or online. If anyone has one that I could purchase or knows of a place where I could find one (adult size small), I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

An oversized red tee shirt (sans pocket or logo), a large tip black Sharpie and a ruler is you bestest friend!
Heck even free hand the lines. will be in keeping with Schultz's drawings

Although I would dare say this is hardly an iconic look -- I'm sure if you asked 100 folks, less than 10% would be able to tell you what his shirt looked like.
Remember, if you just use a sharpie, the lines will likely not be thick enough to read from the audience. You'd have to make those lines thicker than what it would actually be.

T was thinking the JUMBO SHarpies used for marking large freight boxes. Their tips are 1/2-3/4 of an inch thick.
Also be sure to put a piece of cardboard on the inside of it while drawing your lines so they don't bleed through to the other side. It will be easiler and look better to do the front and back seprarately.

You have to provide your own costume???
Are the other characters going to have hand drawn Sharpie lines on their shirts? It's going to be astrange if you are the only one.
How about a sewing machine and some black grosgrain ribbon?

If you want to do the hand drawn lines, Sharpies come in all sorts of different sizes, and they now also have a line of paint pens that are fantastic and so easy to use!
I love turning people on to these!
