I almost threw this piece of mail away today. Looked like junk mail, but was indeed $617.35.
"Dear Valued Oxford Customer:
Pls find enclosed a ck.that we are issuing you as a refund of your premium for participation in a NY Individual Plan with Oxford during the 2010 calender yr. This distribution is a result of pymt we rec'd deriving from our participation in a risk pool that is operated pursuant to NY Insurance law, Regulation 146.
The amt of your ck was determined by multiplying the earned premium from your standard health benefits plan by the percentage that resulted from dividing funds we rec'd from the risk pool by our total net earned premium. Accordingly, the enclosed ck. for your share of the total dividend is based on this calculation for the 2010 calender yr.
Pls call us w/any questions you may have regarding this refund. Our toll free c/s number is------.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide you the quality health insurance you have come to expect from Oxford products.

Yeah, thanks for stealing my $$$$ that I could have invested for the last 3 yrs. I guess a class action lawsuit, and NY Insurance Regulation #146 MADE you send this INSANE letter.
