We were all there.

Somewhere I have a great picture of a naked Minnie Mouse. She's got the body suit, head, hands and shoes on and that's it.

It's very funny.

Not when they snap on the parade route.

Thank God it never happened to me, but my parnter went down HARD. They broke, he bounced off of one of the character balloons, smashed into the float then bounced of that and landed on a planter.

Not fun at all.

Funny that you guys mention the hierarchy of chracters. In Japan, it's almost the opposite, with such honor being placed on Mickey (then Minnie) and it goes down from there.

Too bad all employees have to sign a non-disclosure agreement...

Then I guess someone will have to write it and give it to someone to publish after they die. I don't think a dead person can violate a non-disclosure agreement.

I use to work for Disney in the parades and they Pay SH*T. You only get a raise after each season or parade that you are with them. Its a great atmosphere but unless you have other income its not worth it.... at leaste for Parades.
Im pretty sure if you sing live or are in one of the special shows they pay a lot more.

Are there only "Parade" employees...I mean, that's the only thing they do? Interesting.

A friend of mine worked at DisneyWorld when it first opened back in the early 70s, and she told me that one of their "Snow Whites" was a major speedfreak...intravenously. Her problem was that she couldn't shoot up in the veins in her arms because of the short-sleeved costume, so she shot up under her tongue, instead. Ew.

I bet the chatter in the character lockerrooms is hilarious, too. "Alice" and "Cinderella" and "Prince Philip" and "Peter Pan" swapping war stories about the adult fanatics they encounter that really believe they are the characters.

Speaking of the Princes, don't you think Disney could cast some guys that are believable as straight royalty?

this is all so interesting. I always want to work where ever my last vacation was. I am sure my desire to move to Florida and work for the mouse will fade.
