So, this guy obviously is a bit obsessed with Hugh. He is bothered by Hugh's less macho, sexy roles....which this guy really seems to get into. Many of his comments about Hugh are cover ups for what he raellyw ants to say....kind of like when straight guys wrestle and get into physical horse play as a way to to touch one another intimately...this is the verbal version. He has a very obvious fear of homosexuality which translates afraid that someone will realize he is gay. He probably lives in his parents basement and probably the type of person on which Matt Groening based The Simpsons character, Comic Book Guy.
How can you take him seriously or even give one moments thought to his opinions?

Being in a musical does not mean that you are gay! Oh my gosh, whoever wrote that was a wacko. I don't think I should get too riled up about it, though. I just want to enjoy today.
