You Know You're An Actor/Actress When...
You feel an audience is watching you at all times.
You look at your profile and try to find your best side.
You become very particular about your looks.
You read books in script-form - and see the acting in your head.
You see the acting in your head and cast yourself as the lead.
You do anything you can to get onto the stage - even offer to clean the theater after school.
You recruit friends to try out or help on crew.
You become critical of famous stars, saying "I could do that better."
Your group for class wants to do a play for their final project - and you take over.
Your ears buzz whenever you hear the word "play".
You start talking to the mirror as if you were in a movie.
You have fake casting-agent conversations with yourself.
"Sun Salutes" and "Tai-Chi" become a daily routine.
You often pretend to be someone you're not.
You put yourself into weird situations... in your head.
You practice crying on command.
You annoy techies.
The words "nakie time" don't scare you anymore - you've seen it.
You don't mind techies sticking microphones in "unusual" places.
You guard your props/costumes with your life.
( That IS the sign of aTRUEactress/actor, because any techie knows it doesn't happen much.)
You rely on glow tape to get you to your places on the stage.
You dream of "being discovered" - not by accident.
You're willing to dye/cut hair with one word from the director.
Not being cast makes you feel self-conscious

Oh my god. That's so me and I thought my wannabe actress days were behind me!

hehe yea i found that somewhere and thought it hilarious.... it actually doesnt apply to me anymore tho... the one that does tho is:
You Know Your a Stage Manager when...
you call cues in your sleep.
rest is a not a word in your vocabulary.
you've managed to be multiple people at once.
you feel like you are eternally wearing a head set.
you have friends on the crew and they have no choice but to listen to you.
the followspots leave offerings to the Almighty Stage Manager.
you have actors actually listening to what you say.
(don't ask me why, but for some reason i love it and wanna be a stage manager and have done quite a bit of it lately and that description is totally me)

I sing in my sleep according to my roomates, I also put myself in odd situations in my head. I also do practice crying on command. I have done the see the acting in your head thing. (It's how I keep myself from getting myself too excited about T2C.) I took over a project for my intro to theatre class. The script was horrible and boring but I managed to add in tons of stage directions and make the script itself hilarious while we managed to suck it up during the actual presentation of it. (Imagine noises off on a much smaller scale.) Well I was told I didn't mess it up but my group members had no stage presence! GAH! I should stop myself before I get too worked up.

Yeah, because it's uncommon for performers to have OCD.
That list couldn't be MORE accurate to my every day life. *sigh* We're some annoying creatures, we actor types. Hmmm.

LMAO! Couldn't be more true. Put the biggest smile on my face ever. I had to print it out and show it my friends and teachers since I go to a performing arts magnet. My drama teacher was practically on the floor she was laughing so hard. It's amazing we get any performances done in that class. She's as easily (if not more) distractable than we are.
Eww...ice cream!
