joeyjoe - whats that line that Shelby says in Steel Magnolias when she finds out she's pregnant...
"Momma, I'd rather have 30 minutes of Wonderful, than a lifetime of nothing special"
I totally agree with the "better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all" concept.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" re: You have the chance...

Does this other person know they are going to die in six months or are they oblivious to the fact JoeyJoe?
My avatar is a reminder to myself. I need lots of reminders...

re: You have the chance...

Okay, I wanna elaborate on my answer... I'm still at work but I have the free time now to clarify.

"It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."

I have a somewhat similar situation, though my 'better half' isn't going to die. We've been really good friends a long time, love each other and are in love with each other, but for circumstances beyond our control us being a couple just isn't in the cards (it's a really long story, but believe me we've tried). I can't say it's been easy for either one of us and lord knows I've had my share of times when I've hurt and I feel like I have lost him (even though we're still very good friends)... But honestly? Even with all the hurt and all the BS and everything heartbreaking that has gone along with this, I wouldn't have traded our short span of time for anything in the world.

Sometimes people leave an imprint on your heart and even though you may not have that person anymore, it's something you'll always carry with you.

Okay, I'm done being sappy now. Back to work for me lol

Awwwe thank you redhot -- you make me blush.

Actually, today's one of those days when aforementioned scenario is really tough and sucky... I really needed to hear something like that re: You have the chance...

re: You have the chance...

today has been a hard day for a lot of people - but thats the great thing about the way the world works. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you get in bed, pull the covers up, sleep for 7 or 8 hours if you're REAL lucky, and then have an opportunity to start all over again. I love life!

re: You have the chance...

Absolutely. I kinda wish today had been one of those vegge out days... It's somewhat sunny here in NYC, so I'd definitely rather be sitting out on my porch reading a book than sitting here in my office. Luckily it'll be time for me to go home in about half an hour re: You have the chance...

re: You have the chance...

Someone named Heather should have called someone named Christine who was all of 20 blocks away if it was a stinky day.

*does the Commuter dance*
And hang on, when did you win the discus?

re: You have the chance...

people named Christine and Heather should call a guy named Ed, who is NOT 20 blocks away, if they're having poopy days.

I'd rather die having lived, then keep existing without living.
