Thanks for that link, I never saw that before. It's weird the way Roseanne gave them so little to work with.

I never found the episode but Laurie Metcalf apparently appeared on AbFab as well.

After Saffie slaps Eddie:
"That's illegal, isn't it? Ow, sweetie! OW! OW!"
I want a T-shirt with "DLA" printed on the front.

The glorious moment when Eddie gets word of her father's passing, which means absolutely nothing to her at all. Saffy is enraged, and orders Eddie to wipe that smile off her face. Eddie's attempts to compose her face into something serious are a joy to behold.
Or another line from the pilot, when Eddie has scheduled a rather intimate procedure, she says to Saffy:
"High colonic irrigation, darling. Not to be sniffed at."

Or when she realized if her father died she might one day die too. And then fell in the open grave.
Pure comedy gold.

Yes, she was. As I remember it was the same episode Nathan Lane was in. She played some sort of hypnotherapist if memory serves and attempted to regress Eddie in order to discover a past life. I think it was all about redecorating her kitchen. (Excuse the vagueness, it's been years since I saw it.)

I loved the one where they had the karaoke machine for Eddie's birthday.

That picture just reminds me how much I wanted Joanna Lumley to play Rita Skeeter in the Harry Potter films. The first time I read The Goblet of Fire I immediately pictured Joanna with her Patsy hair.

Joanna could probably play anything. Except a common ribbon clerk.

"Joanna could probably play anything."
Joanna appeared in at least two episodes of "Are You Being Served?" One where she was a spritz girl and one where I think she played a woman with a German accent. I think her husband was the producer of the show.

Goth, I saw her in one of those a few weeks ago. It's surprising how little she's changed over the years.
AEA, it's funny you say that; when I first read the book, I pictured Jennifer Saunders as Rita Skeeter.
