Hey -- anybody on here got a DeviantArt account??
Or even if you don't, I was just wondering if anybody could help me with this question:
How does one get an image of original artwork onto the internet?
I guess for smaller pieces (drawings, photographs, etc.) a scanner would do the trick. But what about larger things like paintings or posters or what have you? Anybody know how the professionals do it? Any attempt at an explanation would be swell!

digital cameras are pretty wonderful for that
Ditto-I simply photograph my work and put it on line. Perhaps Orion will have another suggestion.

ah, thanks guys. i haven't tried digicam yet but i feel like that would distort the colours/proportions. meh. perhaps i oughta give it a go.

Try scanning each part separately and then attaching it in photoshop or paint?

yeah i'd thought about that but what if they just won't match up?!
(...cyndi lauper??)
can a scanner really do a better job than a digicam?
