Ugh, the Emmys are so hard to predict. Nearly everyone's predictions end up being way off because of all the surprises.
I just hope that Janney doesn't win again. Give it to Mariska, Frances, or Kyra. Does anyone really need five Emmy Awards?

ZONEACE, I agree that they'll probably just hand the statue to Alison Janney again. Pffft. I'd love to see Runway win for best reality (competition)! Am also pulling for Kathy Griffin to win for the acceptance speech alone.
I'd love for Elizabeth Perkins to win for Weeds. She's fabulous.
I hope Jeremy Piven takes it instead of Jon Cryer. Kevin Dillon should have been nominated in the same category!
I'm still FUMING about Big Love being overlooked in all of the major categories. It deserved a nomination for Best Drama, and there should have been acting nods for Chloe Sevigny, Jeanne Tripplehorne, Harry Dean Stanton, Grace Zabriskie and Mary Kay Place.
Hey, I found out yesterday that my coworker just won the Emmy for Best Main Titles for the last Academy Awards opening sequence. He was the art director for it!
Yay!
They gave out the Scientific and Technical awards already, last weekend, where he picked his up... but they will announce his win at the forthcoming big ceremony.

I'm hoping this is the year that 24 finally gets some love from Emmy. However, given prior history, I expect a lovefest for The West Wing. I am going to try to switch channels when comedy awards are being presented, in protest of the omission of any recognition for Gilmore Girls.

madbrian - I'm not a regular viewer, but I've watched Gilmore Girls in the past and I like it. Has Kelly Bishop ever been nominated? She's great as Lorelai's mom.
I keep hearing Julia-Louis Dreyfus will win Best Actress for Comedy, though I'm pulling for Lisa Kudrow.
I love Mariska, but would MUCH prefer to see Frances Conroy win in the Drama category.
*sniffles thinking of Ruth breaking down finding Maya's bunny*.

I'd love to see Lisa Kudrow take home the Emmy for the Comeback - I thought she was fantastic.
blueroses - Kelly Bishop has never been nominated. As far as I know, the show has never received any Emmy noms (at least not any major ones). She steals every scene she's in, and the writing on the show is top-notch.

Kathy Griffin's show lost to Extreme Makeover.

Really? Lauren Graham was never even nominated?
I hope Six Feet Under wins a writing award for "Everyone's Waiting." Quite possibly the best series finale I've ever seen. It destroyed me. Fans of the series will enjoy reading these, which I JUST discovered! It contains spoilers, so if you haven't seen the show yet, you may not want to click here:

I think this is the year for Grey's Anatomy. I would love House to take home Drama Series.

I wouldn't mind if Chandra Bailey won for Grey's.
