A little note, the coaster I'm looking forward to riding this summer is the new Dark Knight coaster at Six Flags. Can't wait.
Millennium Force at Cedar Point. I have been on it SO many times and it is still fun!
Raptor is like that too though!
The Phoenix at Knoebels in Elysburg PA. It's insanely old, (And a horrid shade of green)but still incredible. I always end up leaving my seat a few times during the ride. I love it :)
If you love Woodies, Holiday World in Southern Indiana has three of the top 20 wooden roller coasters in the world. The newest one (The Voyage) has more 0 gravity time than any other wooden roller coaster.

the best roller coaster I went on would have to be Rockin Roller Coaster.
See, I had my eyes closed, and I was scared of roller coasters (I was bribed to go on it.) I opened my eyes 3/4 of the way through it and I was mesmerized by the donuts that lit up. Haha.
I also like Tower of Terror. So awesome... I haven't been on it in years...
I LOVE Superman Ultimate Flight at Six Flags New Jersey... it's a cool feeling to fly laying down on your stomach.
Also loved Medusa, but HATED El Toro!
Still a huge fan for The Mind Eraser at Darien Lake.
I'm just glad I'm not the only person mentioning "America's Roller Coast", Cedar Point. (located in beautiful Sandusky, Ohio for those who are unfamiliar)
I'm partial to the Magnum and kinda like the Top Thrill Dragster, in a more "it-scares-me-half-to-death" kind of way.
I like almost any wooden roller-coaster. I find the steel ones, no matter how extreme, rather dull. My favorite wooden one is The Grizzly, at Kings Dominion in Virginia. It just a lot of fun.
"X" and "Goliath" at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
love Love LOVE The Rock N' Roller coaster at Disney World.
Hades!
I like wooden coasters; I'm a bit squeamish for the bigger ones. Favorite one?
Giant Dipper in Santa Cruz. Not for the ride but for the color (bright red) and the view of the bay.

I love The Comet at Hershey Park. It's like a family tradition to go to Hershey Park and ride this one first. It's a nice, classic, wooden coaster. Also at Hershey, I looove Storm Runner. (PS- don't eat quesadillas before riding Storm Runner)
JAG- You're my girl! Millenium Force is far and away the best roller coaster, and Cedar Point is the greatest park in the world! With more roller coasters than any other park in the world and that beautiful location on a peninsula in Lake Erie, no other park even comes close.
Magnum XL 200, Top Thrill Dragster, and the new Maverick are three other great coasters at Cedar Point.
A height comparison with the first hill of Millenium Force:
<
Millenium Force's 300 foot first drop at an 80 degree angle:
<
<
420-foot tall Top Thrill Dragster, with it's 400 foot, vertical drop. It launches riders from 0-120 MPH in under 4 seconds:
<
<
<
Magnum XL-200,along the shore if Lake Erie, was the first roller coaster to top 200 feet. Even after 20 years, it is still consistently voted one of the top 10 coasters in the world:
<
The new Maverick, features high speeds, over-banked turns, and a 95-degree first drop. Yes, more than vertical:

Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, located on a peninsula in Lake Erie, has been voted the Best Amusement Park in the World for the past 10 years in a row by Amusement Today, the world's leading amusement industry publication. It's collection of 17 roller coasters is the most of any park in the world:

Lovely pictures, Actr! I adore Cedar Point...it's not summer if my friends and I haven't gone at least twice. I really liked Maverick, too...not to mention the fact that they played the Dallas theme song while I was waiting in line for it!
Maverick....95 degrees....you and I must meet this summer.
"maverick, you will be mine....oh yes, you will be mine."
sidebar: my best friend is the former head of reservations overseeing the entire park, so needless to say I spent alot of "free" time there while he was still there. :)
The Cyclone @ Coney Island. The first and so far only coaster I have been on. I remember one day over the summber I went on it five times in a row. Amazing coaster the best.
Ah jerseygirl! You took mine.
I actually don't think the Rock n Rollercoaster is the best ride...but it does shoot to the top simply because of the fabulous film beforehand that features the spectacular Illeana Douglas!
