The disco movies of the late 1970s & 1980. I love ABBA THE MOVIE (1977) which was a mix of concert footage from ABBA's Australian tour. THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY (197re: your guilty pleasure movies?, Donna Summer stole the show. XANADU (1980) with Olivia Newton-John and a soundtrack from Electric Light Orchestra was a feast of music, color and dance. We had died and gone to disco heaven. Valerie Perrine and The Village People were all out in CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC (1980). Critics hated it. I loved YMCA even though I am not gay. I can not leave out SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER with John Travolta and the high-stepping BEE GEES. The BEE GEES came on to be one of the greatest music groups of all time and went into the Rock&Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. https://www.jimcolyer.com

sneakers, benny and joon and pirates of the carrabian. I just love the eye candy!

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

Cutting Edge!!!!!!!!!!!! ("Toe-pick"!)

BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!

Not sure if Guffman counts, but since I watch it compulsively, it does bring on feelings of guilt.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

Marquise your list is great, but I wouldn't classify many of them as guilty pleasures.

Matt, BBoobs & I bought Xanadu & Can't Stop The Music on DVD so we could have a whacked out double feature...we still haven't watched them yet.

I also bought "The Lonely Lady" on VHS on Ebay after someone mentioned here or on the old board ages ago. I still will never forget Pia Zadora's love scene with a garden hose.

MUST WATCH SOON!!

One more...can't resist..."Crimes of Passion" with Kathleen Turner. Brilliant, funny, dark, weird and hot! Updated On: 2/2/05 at 10:04 PM

I happen to love Bring It On - and I don't consider it a Guilty Pleasure, considering it has some of the most amazing choreography. I also thought it was clever and far from cheesy, and Dunst did a great job with it.
I just wish the soundtrack included the cheer mixes.

OMG, I love the Long Kiss Goodnight. Whatever happened to Geena Davis? I also loved her in CutThroat Island which is definitely a guilty pleasure.
