there's an article in the ny post this morning - yeah, i know, it's the post - that infers that it's not just the rev. who's po'd at bammy over his decision to distance himself and now to outright disown him. i wonder if we'll be hearing from some people who will dispute bammy's recollection of when he was at the church? i wonder if the rev. will share some tidbits about things bammy shared with him over the years?
it's not like the rev. said anything new in that press conference, except for the assertion that bammy agrees with him but that he's too scared to admit it.
but please, senator, share with us how we can trust you about anything if you cannot even trust yourself about the man you've celebrated for 20 years.

Sadly, I agree here.
I've been an Obama supporter, but I'm starting to drift back toward the middle of the two candidates.
I find Obama to be an extremely intelligent man and as a result of that I refuse to believe that he was unaware of the beliefs of this pastor. Which means either that he doesn't care or he doesn't care. That concerns me.

That's very true.
Through this entire process I've been thinking to myself, "I really like Obama and I think he'd be a good President, but this doesn't seem like the greatest way to keep the brotha man down, and honestly - that is the #1 issue on my list."

Posted: 4/30/08 at 11:19amThis is why I voted for Hillary. She has bigger balls and is a better candidate. Obama will be GREAT at raising money as the VP candidate.

I said it back during Obama's big race speech: he should have definitively and unconditionally condemned Wright.
Everyone was like "oh, he's so understanding, he's so eloquent..blah, blah, blah"
That may be, but it was political suicide not to denounce him. And it is that exact political naiveté that has always given me pause.

I'm still hanging on to a few shreds of Obama support, but whichever of these two get the nomination I am confident enough that they are each dirty enough in their own way to beat McCain.
I also want Jim Webb as the VP nominee regardless of the candidate.

You know we all are.
Too bad her page is run by an intern.
It's fun to think of Chelsea starring into a screen with a blue glow on her face while clicking "Accept" 100 times in a row.

I don't care if it's run by an intern.
I haven't been this excited since I got the message that "Cheyenne Jackson accepted your friend request."
(Well, that excited me a little more, actually.)

Roz Ryan accepted mine, but then she vanished.
Since then, I've been too gun shy to even try.

Posted: 4/30/08 at 12:18pmI'm curious to hear what Jessee Jackson or Rev. Al Sharpton thinks of all this. They both have been very quiet lately. Still, what if this came out in the fall and Obama was the Democratic candidate?
#23re: a question for bammy
Posted: 4/30/08 at 12:24pmThe stuff that is still to come out about Obama is much worse.

What do you know PJ? Dish.
At least with Hillary all the dirt has come out over the past 8 years with her husband and 7 while in the senate.

you been reading the enquirer again, pj?
kinda funny that about six weeks before it hit the msm, they had a story on bammy and bill ayers.
so we've probably got a few weeks yet.
