today it's been a year since my kitty died... 
i'm kind of having a bad day.

I can relate Abba..This was the first trip that when we came home Sweetpea was not here.....remember the good times, and know that I'm thinking of you.

his name was lucky.
there are alot of good times to remember... one time he came to school with me in 6th grade. another time he came to work with me when i worked at the groomers. he purred all day even when i cut his nails and washed his paws in the tub. he used to go to petsmart with us too. he loved the car.
all i would have to do was look at him and he'd purr.

Well, he was lucky to have you, and you lucky to have lucky.
Gorky has been gone for about 2.5 years and I still miss him, so I understand completely.

Start researching the means by which the Tibetan monks locate the new Dalai Lama.
Bring his old pet toys to kittens and see which one recognizes them and runs over to play with them.

I'm sorry, I also love animals, and I cant imagine losing any of my three dogs.

Outstanding looking cat
I had 2 that I had to give up when I moved into my wife's apartment as they did not allow pets. I made sure they both went together ( no mean feat ) to minimize what they were going thru
They knew something was up & fought going into the box but am quite sure since they were together they acclimated to their new home

My sweet baby Jack-cat passed a year ago April. Maybe it was so Lucky would have someone to play with? I know I miss Jack terribly.

Gorky, my cat of over 13 years, died of cancer in March, 2004. He was my first cat, and beautiful in every possible way.
His brother, Stoli, who I had just rescued 6 months before, was terribly lonely,
So in June, 2004 Stoli got a sister - Zorra
Who grew from a scrawny little kitten into a beautiful full cat.
And, then less than a month after I got Zorra, my father passed away (but not before he got to love Zorra and meet her).
Now Stoli and Zorra are likes peas in a pod, and I am sure Gorky is looking down on them and smiling. And somewhere else, so is my dad, for he loved cats, especially Stoli and Gorky.

My sister's cat Midnight (I know, what an unoriginal name for a black cat...but don't blame me, my little sister named her) died three years ago. It was very sad, especially because she died so suddenly.
My other kitty, Lacey is 12 now. She was my first kitty. I don't know how I'll be able to handle it when she dies. She almost like a daugther.
Sorry to hear about all your kitties (and parent) pasing on!
