Posted: 7/14/06 at 2:25pmthis news story reminded me of the anecdote regarding Dick Scanlan and Richard Morris; Scanlan had long been a great fan of the THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE film, and wrote Morris on a whim expressing his thoughts that it would make a good stage musical. Regardless of how you feel about the result, the fact that Scanlan went on to collaborate with Mr. Morris in making that dream come true is a similar fable to the at-first-glance incredible notion to barter owning a paper clip into owning a house....
