I know it hasn't been the same over the past few years... but I still watch the show and find myself laughing at each episode (although not as much as in the earlier seasons)
i also find myself getting real sad that it's almost over. i'm glad it's ending but i'm going to miss these characters. it was such a wonderful ensemble show and still is. the past few episodes have really been setting up our good-byes... i hope next week's finale is excellent

Posted: 5/10/13 at 11:08amAll I know is hat Thursday I am going to be a huge wreck. I shed a tear at last nights episode because I came to the realization that it is time to say goodbye. I haven't been this beat up over a TV. Show since LOST ended!

Posted: 5/10/13 at 11:10amOh, I was sobbing last night while Pam watched the video. And when Jim pulled the note out of his pocket, I just lost it.

<---------- This Guy!
I have a very high regard for the quality of actors/acting on that show. When I watch other actors, I always look at the choices they make and try to decipher how they might be executing those choices.
I think a lot of people think, "Oh, it's funny because the writing is so good", but anyone who's ever done a cold reading in an audition knows there's a real craft in taking words on a page (no matter how well they're written) and interpreting them into a "real" character.
I think the cast of The Office always makes it look too easy. With a "mockumentary", there's a very fine line to be walked. If the actors play too "real", the characters are boring. The trick (I think) is in playing the exact sweet spot where the characters are hysterically funny, yet don't seem like a caricature.
I'm particularly impressed with how well John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer have worked together. Those are both very difficult roles to pull off because both are probably the most grounded in reality.

THE OFFICE post-Michael Scott has been comparably awful, but there have been many worthwhile moments where I was thankful they kept the series going. I will also be a wreck on Thursday...I can't believe it's the last I will see of Jim, Pam, Dwight, Stanley, Phyllis, Angela, Creed, and the gang.
And what a breakthrough for John Krasinski. He's turned out to be quite the actor, and I can't wait to see his future work.
