First of all it is worth noting that there is no particular political affiliation associated with pedophilia. Democrat, Republican, Independent, all are equal opportunity perverts.

Secondly I might also point out that while teenagers are often seually active at a very early age if this story is true the man with the fifteen year old boy is just as guilty of sex with an underaged partner as if he were having sex with a young girl. It is illegal and for good reason. Teens engage in sex with each other to learn about their bodies and their sexuality. When they engage in sex acts with adults it is because they have been seduced, convinced or coerced and because they are young and lack maturity and judgment they are not in a position to make that decision. Furthermore adults can play the manipulation card and are much more skilled at applying social pressures and keeping the young man or woman quiet by means of guilt or threat.

I agree, and this whole "scorecard" mentality (suggested by the original subject line of this thread) is offensive to me. A Democrat was involved in an underage sex scandal; therefore all Democrats are perverts. There's no logic in that (except for papalovesmambo.)
