bww friends?

heyy everyone! ive been on this board for a while now, but not exactly what you would call an "active" member. sure i post here and there but no one would be like "oh yeah rent1988 i know who that is". haha. i was just wondering, have any of you guys met eachother? and like made friends? a lot of you seem really close on the board, and i think thats so cool! anyways so i guess i just wanted to put my name out there, and if anyone wants to PM me id be more than happy to talk to you!
much love--

re: bww friends?

I think there actually might be a thread about this somewhere.... and even though this is the pot calling the kettle black, Im too lazy to do a search for it.

I knew a handful of posters pre-bww and we came here together.... and then there are SO many amazing friends I have met (yes, in person) through posting here. re: bww friends?

I've said for the longest, I've met some of my best friends (including a performer) through broadway message boards.

re: bww friends?

I met someone in person from here. And someone PMed me and said that they saw me in person but didn't say anything.

re: bww friends?

That's kind of creepy. Why didn't they come up to you if they recognized you?

re: bww friends?

I have a lot of "real-life" friends on this board. There are a few of us who were friends before we joined the boards (several of us went to high school together, or go to school together now, for example) but there are also people who I met on the boards, then in person, and who I consider to be pretty close friends now. re: bww friends?

re: bww friends?

I don't know why not. They PMed me and said that they thought they saw me but they didn't feel like coming up to me. Whatever LOL... I wasn't offended!

re: bww friends?

Oh, well, if they just thought it was you and they weren't sure, that makes sense. re: bww friends? As long as the PM didn't say, "I was gazing at someone I thought was you, from afar. Tell your mother she should rinse the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher next time. And to trim the hedges by the living room window. My view's a bit obstructed now."

You have a sick, sick mind, Tiff. Don't ever change.

re: bww friends?

Hahahaha

I've gotten emails, IMs or PMs that people have seen me somewhere but didn't want to come up to me for various reasons... either they weren't sure it was me and didnt want to look like an ass or I looked involved and/or busy.

re: bww friends?

Plum, that's one of the most frequent messages left in my high school year book. I'm only half joking.

I've had the pleasure of meeting some BWW folks, either in person or on the phone. And there are several on here who I haven't met in person yet, but whom I consider to be equally "true" friends to me as the ones I see every day. And in October, I'll be meeting some of them in the flesh!

re: bww friends?

Where are you going in October? Because you realize if you say New York, I'm going to have to smack you, right?
#13

re: bww friends?

Where else, Plum? Tiff is so excited about meeting me - it's all she lives for, poor girl. I haven't the heart to tell her I have no intention of going.

If only I could convince Ellie that I'm going to Omaha. That girl won't stop. She's so eager to meet me.

You're going to New York at one of the few times I can't take a train over to harrass you. It's very rude.

re: bww friends?

I know, I should have planned better. *headdroop*

Well, if BST has her way (and I have the funds, which is highly unlikely), I'll be making an earlier jaunt in July or August, so maybe you'll be around in the dead heat of the summer?

re: bww friends?

I have met a few BWWers, and they're so sweet. A friend of mine from school and I kinda joined together, but she doesn't really post. ever....so i guess you can say i came alone, and met some cool cats along the way!
