That's really stupid. If you read Rather's comment, it's not directed at Katie. He said the news was "tarted up," not HER.
And I agree. When Brittany Lohan Olsen is the top story each night, the news IS "tarted up" now.

CBS made a miscalculation. They either bite the bullet & pay her off or stay in it for the long run & hope it improves

I'll take Dan any day over miss perky. In six months she'll either be gone or she will have Anderson Cooper or another male as a co-anchor. Anderson already works on "60 Minutes" so he could do this and CNN, too.

I watched katie the first day. She opened the newscast by walking around on the set, leaning and sitting on the edge of the desk.
