They closed a school in my neighborhood because a kid came down with swine flu, and yesterday as I was riding the train in I watched some jackass sit there and cough without even making a half-assed attempt to cover his mouth. If I could avoid public transit, I totally would.

The VP is saying the exact same thing the CDC, your doctor and your grandma tells you: Avoid crowds, wash your hands, avoid exposure. So why go after Joe? It's because the president is wildly popular and after the unsuccessful "Muslim," "Terrorist," "Socialist," and "Fascist" campaigns, the right has decided that from here on out, try to avoid taking on Obama and go after less-charismatic figures: Pelosi, Reid, Clinton, Biden. If they repeat the "Biden the moron" meme over and over, people might accept it because he's low-key and not usually very visible. It worked with "Gore the egomaniac" and "Gore the Bore" so why not "Biden the dope." Right?
