I am writing an essay for a school application process. What would be the most appropriate heading? Just name? Name and address? It's been awhile since I've taken any writing courses and I simply cannot remember. I need to mail this out tomorrow so I'd REALLY appreciate any pointers!

Are you sending it by itself or with the application? Is it the common application or a separate app?

Well, since you turn everything in at once, my suggestion is to just put your name and the part of the application this essay is in response to. If I remember correctly, I stapled mine. I work in the admissions office at my school though, and we get them all different ways, and most of them are fine. As long as it's easy to identify what it is and who it's by, you should be fine.
Good luck! Is this early decision?

No its actually an application to The New School University. I went to AMDA, but then took a few years off. I've decided its time to stop being dumb and get my little self back in school. That's why I can't remember, I've been out of HS over 4 years and we didn't take any english courses at AMDA obviously. It's amazing how quickly you forget things!!!
Nugget - I hope you still love me even if I'm old!!! it makes me happy!
I'm not quite sure what you're asking. If you fill out the common app online and print it out its all formatted. If not put your name and SS# on each page of the essay.

Yeah, a SS# would probably be good.
