i realized the other day that i have a lot of facebook friends whom i have known in the biblical sense. granted most were just hook-ups dating back as far as hs and college, but still. it has the potential for catastrophe despite the fact that the mrs. knows that while my eye might wander, my ass won't follow.

anyone else look at their friend list and think, wow, this could be a really bad idea. but at that point deleting 30 or 40 people is going to be noticed. maybe it's the thrill of not knowing how it will end up...

Your missus knows nothing of the sort and neither do you.

Catastrophe and potential are good words, and so is delete, do it now.

I keep my hookups on my friends list because seeing who's on can be a great way to get off. It's also a good idea to group them all together so you can see about grouping them in real life.

I'll cop up to being a Corr-blimey if you cop up to being a clairvoyant: - )

you don't need clairvoyance when you have communication.

There was a small column in the STYLE section of the NY Times today, specifically on this topic. (Q & A)

Sooo... you want to remove the online evidence you ever knew these people, because you having them within easy emailing distance means you're likely to cheat on your wife?

I'll just have to assume this is another "papa says dumb **** just for the reactions" thread. It's unbearably sad and pathetic otherwise. re: facebook friends with whom you have knocked boots

There are a few facebook friends I wish I hadn't done the nasty with. Oh, the catastrophe that is an adolescent libido on alcohol....

I remember when I was like ten or 11 or so and just starting to discover that girls are pretty and don't have cooties. I remember this one girl who was hot back in the day. So I was bored one night and looked her up on facebook and was surprised that if I had known that she was going to be that attractive several years down the line. I would have worked harder on making a move.
