re: favorit kids toy?

I am old so my favorite toy was Slinky or Tinker Toys or just some blocks! I loved my dolls too!
It started with a sipmle idea, collecting one paper clip for every life lost, the feelings that connect us...are greater than those that divide us!

re: favorit kids toy?

My favorite was (and still is) Legos.

My favorite things to give a child to occupy them are:

(this is meant to be funny. do not try these at home)

1) Put a glob of peanut butter on a Ritz cracker then stick to the roof of their mouth then tell them not to use their hands to get it off.

2) Soak their underpants in meat juice then let air dry. Put the underwear on the kid then send them out to play with the neighborhood dogs.

3) Send them on a mission to determine which tastes better, white or yellow snow.

4) Send a group of them on a mission to determine if the light in the refrigerator stays on when the door is shut (hint: put the smallest kid in the refrigerator)

5) Teach them the miracle of burning ants with a magnifying glass.

6) Give them Ice Cream but tell them it's a special kind and it will melt if they don't eat it all in 10 seconds.

I always wanted an easy bake oven or a Barbie Doll. I alwys got hot wheels, toy trucks, and sports stuff...

I did really like legos and lincoln logs.

Hot Wheels, Creepy Crawlers, and "Super City" - a building set with plastic squares that snapped together so you could make skyscrapers.

re: favorit kids toy?

hahaha, this is really funny. Favorite? Not sure; but my brother used to always make me play with his Playmobil and Lincoln Logs with him. When I was *really* young, my favorite thing in the entire universe was My Little Pony.

re: favorit kids toy?

Totally, and forever, My Pet Monster. I got one on my fifth birthday, because I was afraid of monsters under my bed, and from the day I got it I haven't seen a single monster (besides Trekkie:)) I still have him hanging out in my room, and I'm 22 years old! My Roomates got a kick out of him, and called him our guard dog.:)

But second place totally goes to the She-ra series, with Jem and the Holograms in third.
There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

I remembered another one: Skip-It! That thing that went around your ankle and you'd jump over it. I had five or six of them because I kept wearing them out.

Then, over the years, they came up with a Skip-It that blows bubbles, one that blinks, one that talks... I like the classic one.

I loved my lego and my teddy bears.

I remember playing 'Operation' for hours on end with my friend who was determined to be a surgeon. Of course, we were seven at the time. I really worried about that patient.

gettinhep, I had the most unsteady hands. I am a nervous wreck today because I kept touching the sides and getting buzzed while playing Operation.

I had the FULL Ghostbusters set. Amazingly fun. All of hte characters, the car, even the little ghosts. So much fun.

I also loved making pyramids out of legos. And castles. Fun fun..

And I also had every ninja turtle, plus the other stuff. I had a Donatello Sr and Jr because my dog Midnight ate the first one. My mom told me she resurrected him. Funny, funny...

re: favorit kids toy?

1) Mouse Trap

2) Legos

3) Batman Action Figures

Legos were my most favorite. I had an airplane, a helicopter, houses, a pirate ship, a boat, police cars and motorcycles, etc.

All current legos are nice - but they are all based on a film/fad. Like Harry Potter.

Whatever happened to plain old everyday normal things, like houses, castles, real people, etc.

This was never done, but I would LOVE a "Mansion" deluxe lego set.

I want them to bring back a pirate ship and a castle.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

re: favorit kids toy?

Hey Goth..I thought I was the only one that could NEVER play operation.. had shaky hands even as a young lad (essential tremor they call it)... my sisters always wanted to play that as they knew I'd never win!

anyone remember the toy that resembled a ball with a ledge around it. you held it with your feet and jumped...I can't remember what they were called... I begged and begged until I got one, but then all I'd ever do is fall on my ass

re: favorit kids toy?

hehe I used to love my Speak and Spell.

Also I had the entire Thundercats collection. hehe.

Does anyone else remember Tuba-Ruba?! You put this tube all around your body and you dropped a marble in one end and had to get it to the other end. Sounds kind of kinky now.

I loved playing with Dominos too :)
