I'm sorta confused as to who wrote that but there it is. My friend sent it to me.


If Naomi Watts is nominated for Stay I will NOT let Ewan NOT be nominated for the same movie. HEAR ME?!

But I do hope Naomi gets nominated for something...

Why didn't she win for Assasination of Richard Nixon? Who won that year anyway?

I don't think anyone saw 'Assassination.'

It would have been eligible last year, though.

Bummer Assasination was SO GOOD.

I was under the impression that she was nominated for that?

I thought that Assassination featured one of Sean Penn's best performances. Ever. If more people had seen it, there is no doubt in my mind that he would have been a strong contender.

It seems SO early for predictions!
I would love to see Julianne Moore win one, I think she's one of the best working actresses today and is long overdue for a win.

Julianne Moore is long overdue! How could she not have won a supporting Oscar for The Hours? (I would say Lead but I love Nicole...)

Don't even get me started...I thought she should have won lead actress that year for Far From Heaven (I'm really not a Kidman fan).

As much as I love Kidman, I felt that Moore gave the best overall performance of 2002. In any category.

Julianne Moore should have won BSA for THE HOURS, yes over Zeta (dodges bullets). Early Oscar buzz this year (for females) seems to be mainly on Joan Allen, Ziyi Zhang, Toni Collette, and a few others...

I agree Michael Bennett. I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVED Catherine but Julianna Moore's character in The Hours really captivated me.

I'd like to see Joan Allen nominated for UPSIDE OF ANGER.

I'd like Thandie Newton to get a Best Supporting nominaiton for CRASH.

I loved CINDERELLA MAN, but please, do NOT nominate Renee Zellweger!

I didn't like Cinderella Man, but Crowe and Giamatti were good.

It will never happen, but I really hope that Mickey Rourke (Sin City) gets consideration. He is currently my #1 supporting actor choice. I don't think many will understand my choice, but whatever.

I'd like to know what made Nicole the lead in the Hours, since Julianne and Meryl were above her in the billing. Meryl was my favorite part.

That was one of my main problems of Kidman's win. She's in it for a total of about 20 minutes, which I'm sure is less than many supporting roles (example: Geena Davis in The Accidental Tourist).

A friend of mine saw an advanced screening of the film adaptation of Steve Martin's Shopgirl and said that Claire Danes is giving a beautifully nuanced yet hilarious performance. I wouldn't be surprised if she is nominated. I'm predicting that Shopgirl will be this year's Lost in Translation.

I think that we can all agree that 2002 was a jam packed year in terms of roles, actors, and talent!!!!!!! One of my favorites out there. And the best thing about it was there were no clear winners out there. The closest thing to that was Catherine Zeta-Jones. Anyways, that was a great year!

Zeta-Jones's Oscar win still puzzles me. But, yes. 2002 was a fantastic year for performances.
