The Phelps' family is going to be sad to realize one day how they helped bring equality into existence for gays. I firmly believe they help us way more than they hurt us. I mean, heck--Fox News was actually siding WITH gays on that.

Only NOW that the Republicans are facing defeat do they step forward and disavow radical voices like Fred Phelps and Ann Coulter?

Where was the protest for the past 6 or 12 years, while these voices of hate were protesting at AIDS funerals and demonizing, stigmatizing and dehumanizing us?

Sure, it's easy to speak out when you have no power to lose. But where were you when we needed you?
