this just tickles me to death. i might disagree with glenn utterly, violently and completely, but i do respect that he is actually true to his beliefs.
every obama statement comes with an expiration date

Hey, Papa, congratulations on finally posting about something that has at least some actual value. However, it looks like your couching this all wrong - there's a legit question about Bagram vs Gitmo. Can we discuss this rather than the perils of being Glenn Greenwald? By the way, I also respect him, though I agree with him more than you do (but by no means all of the time).
By the way, I think the judge's ruling is probably correct. My question isn't with the judge's decision, it's about the administration being consistent.

Posted: 4/13/09 at 9:57amYep, I expect consistency. Of course, that would be much easier in a black & white, simple world where one side or political affiliation was always right and the other was always wrong. I get that there is subtlety and nuance and reality in politics, but I do expect consistency. I think my expectations for Obama were far different from most people's. I actually listened to most of what he said during the campaign - not the soundbites and one-offs. For the most part, he's been extremely consistent with his campaign rhetoric.
