Picking up cheap DVDs in marked down bins, I came across two movies that would make an obvious double feature, at a drive-in, or ... say, the old Circle Theater in Washington, DC, where I first learned about 4 hour sessions watching old movies, connected or disconnected... Here they are, starting with the bald example in the store:
PLAY MISTY FOR ME and FATAL ATTRACTION
Other thoughts:
THE GROUP and MONA LISA SMILE.
TO SIR WITH LOVE and HALF NELSON.
IMITATION OF LIFE and FAR FROM HEAVEN.
DR. STRANGELOVE and TESTAMENT
THE SEARCHERS and DANCES WITH WOLVES
THE WOMEN and BOYS IN THE BAND
NASVILLE and MAGNOLIA
BACK STREET and BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN (a stretch, admittedly)
Other ideas anyone?

I actually attended this at a theater - it was billed as the "Wrist Slasher" double feature.
The Rose, and Lady Sings the Blues.
