Turning a CORNER in Italy is a good thing... ;-}
Here's to comebacks!
cool keep them comming
*hugs the stuffing out of Twelvy*
I took a short trip to Dublin and London - I had friends from work, one in each place, so I had a place to stay and people to be with. I wouldn't even have remembered it was my birthday if my Dublin friends hadn't made a big deal of it - I was having such a great time.

I didn't mind it, as I seemed to acquire more self-confidence when
I turned 30--I just decided I wasn't going to let what people think
affect me as much, and I didn't. Plus I'd been shy most of my life
and the older I get, the better I seem to deal with that as well.
I turn 38 on the 23rd of July~~ All the Best to You!
I ignored it completely, but it hit me at 31 that the 30's were here to stay.

Was talking about getting, er, older on another web site earlier today. Here are some of the people I grew up watching on TV or listening to (or reading Tiger Beat and 16 mags :))
Here Come The Brides:
David Soul is 62
Bobby Sherman is 62
The Monkees:
Mickey Dolenz is 61
Peter Tork is 64
Davy Jones is 60
Mike Nesmith is 63
David Cassidy is 56
Donny Osmond is 48, but a grandfather!!
Alrighty then - NOW we can feel old ;P
edit: Since AARP is for persons 50 and older, ALL except Donny are eligible to enroll... hehehe
edit #2: I will be eligible in about 3 years.....
See, 30's not so bad, and life will get better and you'll be wiser. Enjoy it for all it's worth!
How I dealt with turning 30:
I realized I wasn't getting any younger, and it was time to enjoy life. SO I took ski lessons and thus began my passion for skiing, went kayaking that summer for the first time.

this is probably a waste of time but here it goes...ENJOY IT!
30 is fun fun fun.
you should be celebrating living through your saturn return -- that awful, uncomfortable time when you're 28 and you wonder -- "WTF was i thinking?"
thirty, flirty and thriving!
LOL GG- "thirty, flirty, and thriving"
brdlwyr- care to share what "types" of mistakes? Those of us in our 30s (31 here) could use some warning signs!
29 was so rough that 30 was a relief. I had nothing to prove to anyone but myself anymore, and I finally relaxed.
That year I met my husband...happier than ever 12 years later.
i have been told that i enjoyed it immensely.
I did it almost 30 years ago so I have long since forgotton
I probably felt 30 was old. Now hitting 60 I feel ancient

Cheno, I wish I would have spent less and saved more. That is my major regret of my 30's!
