So at the Broadway softball games today, a girl (very nice person!) stopped me as I was leaving and asked, "Are you Liotte from Broadway World?" It was quite strange to have someone I've never met know who I am solely by the posts I make online!
Anyone else have this happen?
(and to the person I met, I think you said Kate something, it was very nice meeting you and you definitely caught me off guard)
id give 100 dollars if someone could spot me when im in nyc soon!!

Ive been recognized from BWW, but that doesn't surprise me given I have fan photos and more often than not, I use my own picture as my avatar.
I'll give you one better though. I also post on Talkin Broadway.... for those of you who are not familiar, all you have is a poster name. No signatures, no avatars. Someone came up to me at a function (I won't name names since it wasn't just anybody) and said "So I hear YOU'RE TheSupremeDiva! (*my poster name on ATC*) So nice to finally meet a woman with all your accomplishments"
To this day I'm STILL confused... and this happened a good 3 years ago at a party.

Makes you wonder just who does study those fan photos and avatars.

Seriously! It wasn't a stalker or a scary person..... a good contact to have in show business, but still. He was pointed out to me by my full name and somehow turned that into my ATC poster name. It was spooky.

Someone from the boards was spending the night with a friend of mine here at school. They'd met on another message board. I knocked on my friend's door, and the BWW'er answered and was like "Are you LuvtheEmcee? Julie will be right back." My friend had told her who I was, it was just a funny greeting.
I have never had my pic up here in any form, and someone asked me after the fact if I was at a reading - they had seen me and thought it might be me. I thought that was interesting - that of all the people in the world, they would say, "Hey, I bet that's Rath..."

What *was* funny was the BCEFA Flea Market last year... I joked that I could grab my boobs and everyone would know it was me, as that was my avatar at the time. As I did so (still joking) someone walked up to me and asked if I was CJR.
That'll teach me! haha

Actually, when I was in FLorida one time, at a horse show, I recognized someone I had never talked to. This girl who I was feiwndly with *And then decided I didn't like her because she asked too many questions) told me about this girl 'Weedles' who she knew from camp. Anyway, she never told me what this girl looked like, but one day I was like, "Wow, that looks like Weedles." And I was all, "Weedles!" And it was her. Not sure how I knew, but I just did. It was awkward, but she was cool with it. Yes, she has a real name, Nicole.l Weedles in her nickname. ;D
CQT, please let me know when and where you'll be in NYC. i could sure use that $100
Hah,
I would be very weirded out and very surprised if anyone ever came up to me and asked me if I was "Link Larkin Wanabe", hah. I got weirded out enough last summer when I had people coming up to me on the street and at bars and asking if I was Motel and asking for my autograph, at first I was like no...oh wait...sorry...yeah...I played that role. Hah.

Whenever I am in NYC, people will often come up to me and ask if Iam Idina Menzel . Never fails to happen.
Fish, I always recognize you.
And Caroline, silly boy, I wouldn't fit into Karen Ziemba's t-shirt...
Yenta,
I feel your pain. I get confused for Brad Pitt, John Hill and Cheyenne Jackson all the time. Oh wait...I WISH...

I've had many people stop me, even on the street, and ask , "are that *&stard from BWW.com?"
I always reply, "all Josés look alike."
Rathnait is pint sized? For some reason I always pictured tallness. No idea why.
Rath- its a shirt with Karen's picture on the front, than on the back it says: Representing Karen fans everywhere
its pretty nifty
No no no, on the back it says "Don't Move."
