it gave me gas.
that explains a lot.
was she worth it?
There's a bottle in my cupboard right now.
don't tell the feds.
don't go blind.
I would have figured the years of incessant masturbation would have taken care of that.
i thought those were gloves...

Be careful with that stuff. I hear the little green fairy can be dangerous and highly addictive.
Obviously the sock puppet is drinking the lame imitation absinthe being marketed nowadays. It hasn't got any kick to it.

It's that synthetic version of wormwood that kills the potentcy.
Dahlings, the REAL absinthe is wildly potent.

Is this one of the imitation Absinthes that you're referring to, PJ; because I was under the impression that this was the real thing. The manufacturer is someone who has been producing Absinthe for the European market for quite some time. I bought a bottle a few months back and tried it. Mind you, I didn't go overboard, and I diluted it with chilled water, as suggested, but I thought it had an interesting effect. Cool bottle and website, as well.
DrinkLucid.com
Luscious, there is a new label that is much more potent being made in California. It has an alcohol content of 110 proof as opposed to the 63 proof that Lucid has. It has been approved for sale and is due to hit store shelves in a week or two. Currently it is only available through the distillery in the tasting room. I will try to locate the website - and add it to this post.
EDIT:
The distillery name is St George Distillery and is located in Alameda Ca. A 750 ml bottle will retail at $75.00.

I'm glad you only tried it once Papa, from what I've seen absinthe makes a person annoying, pretensious and more than a little Twee. I'm glad the stuff is poisonous- I only wish it killed before they went on and on and on about how powerful and transformative the crap is.
Thanks, Wilhelmina. I'd really be interested to learn more about it. But, Lucid claims to be 124 proof.
Ah! Sorry about that - I was reading alc by content is 62%.
Sounds like it would taste absolutely dreadful!
Licorice tree bark, with a little front lawn thrown in. No wonder addicts poured it over a sugar cube.
I tried it once, too. In Paris. It was magical.
I actually tried to smuggle a few bottles into the U.S., hiding one in my little niece's teddy bear. Damn, those customs people are smart. Who would think some one would try to use a child to smuggle liquor?
Oh well...
Easy with that absinthe!
Best12 - you think it would taste any worse than Jager?
Glebb, I don't think it is any more addictive than TCM.
The taste actually grows on you, best12, although I don't know that I would enjoy drinking it straight up. It's a good "sipping" drink.
I wouldn't know from Jager.
I stick to the basics... vodka, rum, whiskey, gin... and crack, of course.
people need to do their research,as all the rigamarole about it has been proven to be incorrect
