I've never heard of anyone getting a cast for a contusion which is a bruise.
Are you sure you didn't get a hairline or other fracture of some type?

the doctor said the bone was bruised, and i have weak bones to begin with, so they cast me any time i get an injury like that to prevent further injury to the area.

Eat poi. You can get powdered poi, which is made of taro root, and mix it up with water. Very nutritious and helps build stong bones. You may have to order the powdered kind over the internet, but I can buy fresh taro in Chinatown here in NYC so be on the lookout for it. It's like a purplish potato in a big beet shape sometimes.
In Hawaii it is given to babies and children who cannot drink milk it is so healthy.
Drink plenty of milk and eat plenty of dairy for the calcium if you can.
Broccoli also has calcium.

well, it could have been worse, you could have been running and fallen down in Budapest, in a street, with your partner screaming for you to get up, and cars whizzing by, not caring one hoot, and then you limp like quasimodo for a day, and still have a pinky that makes you look like one of the aliens in the old Roy Thinnes series, The Invaders.....
seriously sorry to hear this, but the cast does look cool.
With a silver sharpie you can.

Damn - I was going to launch into a tirade about how there is no such word as "casted" -that the past tense of the verb "to cast" - that is, to assign actors to roles in a play, is "cast".
But you were doing the old bait and switch!
It's usually kids on the student board who say "casted". They also say "play practice". I ask them what they do when play practice interferes with football rehearsal.

Oh, Abba! You sound like a clutz on my level. I've never broken a bone, though. Or contused a bone. Whatever.
I hope you are doing OK!
