check for some local theaters. everyone state has many great theaters that will get you started.
I'm 16, and I just want school to start.
Why? you may ask?
Because I just saw Millie last night, and I am going CRAZY not being in performance mode.

Ok...you need to get voice lessons and acting lessons and then do community theatre...but 36 may be too late to start doing professional theatre if you are completely unexperienced. most broadway stars have been training since they were children. it takes a good while to get up to broadway

That's funny. Everyone else on the board talks about how there's nothing wrong with starting theater late because there are "roles for everyone."
That may be true CruelSandwich, but experience is experience.

actors who start training earlier in life will probably be more successful who start in their late 30's. that's what i'm saying.

What about those who brush their teeth? What about non-actors? Werner Herzog once placed his cast under hypnosis and they apparently gave pretty good performances.
