Well, i'm back in school now, after the BEST vacation ever!!! God I love this city...where to begin?
Monday night we tried Lotto for RENT and we lost, so we got the cheap $35 tix in the rear mezz. The show was AMAZING!!! I may be biased, but this is THE best musical on Broadway. Period. Sebastian was on as Mark, and Jeremy was Roger. They were amazing together!! Terrific energy! the theatre was pretty full, and it was an enthusiastic crowd. Whoever said that this show has "lost energy" and is past it's prime doesn't know what they are talking about! I wish I had more adjectives to describe this....
Tuesday we saw AIDA, and Deborah is the best Aida i've seen. Will was good, but he's no Adam =) I had forgotten that Micky Dolenz was in this show, and he was great!! Lisa is an adorable Amneris, and she really shows the transition from spoiled Princess to mature leader. It was very good!
Wednesday we saw Movin' Out, and we were kind of confused. The dancing all seemed very random, and it was hard to follow the story. Pretty cool dancing though! we med Michael and he was a sweetie =)
Since the show got out early, we decided to wait next door for Hugh Jackman. I ran in and grabbed some playbills, and pretty soon we saw Hugh! he was very nice ,and I have a great close-up pic of him =)
We tried Lotto for Wicked twice, but it was insanely crowded! so Thursday night I decided to go up tp the Lobby at intermission and beg someone for their Playbill. I waited by the stage door for almost an hour, and Idina was the only one to come out! I don't know where Kristin and Joel dissapeared to, but, at least I got Idinas autograph! the poor woman looked SO TIRED, I didn't bother her for a picture. I just smiled and told her I came all the way from Florida to see her! There were tons of people waiting for her autograph.
So, thats my shortened review of my trip!! I can't wait to go again.
For those who were wondering, the Milford Plaza was wonderful!! Check in took all of 2 seconds. At first ,they had us on the 10th floor and the room was TINY. I decided to go to the desk and ask if we could be moved up to a higher floor with a view, so we ended up in the 22nd floor in a corner room that was about tiwce as big as the other one. We weren't given any grief about moving, and the staff was very nice. And you can't beat the location!! On Friday, we saw all the police and ambulences whe nthe Days Inn sign fell like 3 blocks away, so that was interesting to say the least!!
So in conclusion, I had the most amazingly increadible Spring Break ever, and I can't wait to move to the city!!

Glad to hear you had a wonderful time! Someday when I come up, I will have to try to see some of the shows you did. I think I may try Wicked and AIDA
As for the Milford, I was trolling on the expedia.com -- putting in random dates and such when I came across a Best Westeren that is only a block or two from the Milford. It's $30.00 cheeper and the rooms sound like they have a lot more to offer--Coffee/tea maker, iron & Ironing board, a safe, and hair blower. I was thinking that if/when I come up, I might just consider staying there but it's good to know that if I did decided on the Milford, it wouldn't be a bad choice either.
