i pod charger Q?

bought a 5th gen i pod classic 30gb on Ebay. didn't come with a wall charger, and it's out of juice. I looked on ebay, amazon, etc. not sure what to get, and how much to pay? (links?) thanks.

Did it come with a cord? If so, you can plug that directly into your computer to charge it while you wait to get your wall charger.

I've never actually bought one, but I don't think you'd probably want to pay more than four or five bucks for one.

I don't think that's what I'm looking for, phyl. those look like car adapters? It did come with the USB transfer and I did charge it overnight, but it only lasts about 15 minutes of use, charged on the PC. My friend told me to get a wall charger. I'm clueless.

As far as I know, those ones that plug in the wall (like in the link) are considered wall chargers, unless your friend meant a dock, which you dock your ipod right on to. The ones I linked plug into an outlet, and then you'd plug your usb cable to it and attach the ipod. With a dock, you would plug it in and then "dock" your ipod on it. Like with this one.



But honestly, it sounds like the problem might be the ipod itself. It shouldn't matter if you are charging it via a wall dock or charger or on your computer. It should hold the charge either way. Did you charge it until it said it was fully charged? It might be a battery issue.

So, the usb port is universal? OK. My pc guru friend said that charging thru the pc is a way less powerul charge. Who knows" I just hope I didn't get screwed on this i pod even though I paid peanuts for it. Best Buy tomorrow, i guess.

I think it might take longer with the PC charge, but I don't think it should affect the charge itself. But don't quote me.

If the charge was complete, it should have lasted for HOURS regardless of how it was charged. I'm assuming you bought a used product? Sounds defective to me. Which is probably why it was on sale.
