iPad Question

I have the opportunity to buy an extreeeeemely cheap iPad (the first one put out) from a friend who just got a mini and wanted to know what the differences really were between those and the newer iPads. Is there anything really special and different that I should just hold out and wait to get a newer one?

The new ones are faster. From the 3 rd one on they have Siri.. I have had 1 thru 3 and they are all wonderful machines.

The main difference is that 1st Generation iPads don't have a camera. Apple has also stopped updating them, you can't get iOS 6. I have a 1st gen iPad and love it!

all that the others have said...I've had every iPad since they came out, and it can really do more with iOS 6, but on the other hand....what do you want to do with it. If only email and say reading, that might be fine...
