iPhone vs. Samsung Note

I got my first iPhone in 2007, and haven't spent much time contemplating the alternatives, but lately I find myself looking at the big-screen "phablets"--like the Samsung 'Note'.

Are there any former iPhone users out there who have made the switch?

Is there a lot to get used to in going to Android?

If so, are you glad you did it, or do you yearn to return to the iPhone fold?

Do you really want to learn a new OS? I would just wait. If you google the apple rumor mills ; a big screen iPhone is just around the corner. Or if you want to switch.. why not buy a used or old Samsung without a contract and see how you like it? You could always just switch back.

I guess that's the crux of my question--is there really a huge difference when you change OS?

Since I posted my question, though, I've been reading reviews and articles, and yes--it appears that there's a big-screen iPhone coming.

From what I've seen and tried of Adroid, it's pretty confusing. But I've been using Apple products my entire life.

My Grandma has the Samsung Note2. She is 83 and has no problems with it. I suppose if you're used to Apple products you will have to play around with it for a bit, but I wouldn't worry about it, it's pretty self explanatory.

I heard Apple was coming out with one of these hybrids.

Why don't you wait if you want to stick with the platform you know?

Hate the android system, bugging, you need at least a virus blocker on it ( Norton ) nothing is easy. What for apple to release something .

I switched from iPhone. The Android os is intuitive and extremely easy to use. If you're used to an iPhone you should have no problem with it at all.

I've only had an iPod touch, but I do have an android phone now. I actually find both systems easy to use. I feel weird now because I've never had issues learning how to use either.
