Yeah, I just got my rejection letter from NYU Tisch. It would be perfectly fine if I didn't have a perfect academic record and hadn't been told by my auditioner that I did very well at my audition...oh, and if I hadn't had my heart set on NYU and only NYU for the past three years.
Oh well, now I'm applying to Yale, DePaul, UArts, Boston University, and such...

...have you called the school to check and see? cause they should of sent a letter...dont give up just yet..
and if you didnt end up getting in..your path to broadway is going to happen, its just not going to be the one you expected...but it will happen

I'm already in college- getting my BA in theatre for free at a state school...and while its not the best program ever- its what I make of it- I'm taking classes outside of the university to make sure I'm getting what I need.
That being said. I was rejected from all 11 schools I auditioned for. It sucks- but what can you do? If it is really meant to be that I will succeed in this business- then its meant to be. And if not...well- I'm double majoring in something that I can relate back to theatre- so I WILL be working in the theatre community somehow :)
So don't fret over those rejections, kids!

But I got an audition at DePaul, (dream school) so who cares

Posted: 12/31/06 at 7:11amumm..some schools may reject you before you audition...like University of michigan, you can apply and not even be asked to audition..CCM, i believe is the same, they have to look through your application before they can allow you to audition..

its all because of that stupid "apply to the school, then audition for the program" thing. its weird and confusing - you could've sent in your application and have an audition slot all set up, but then get rejected to the school and then the audition is pointless.

Yeah, I've had to apply at several schools, and I don't even know where i'm going yet because I still have auditions that I have to do. And some schools wont even let me know if I got in until med April! It's gonna be bad
