Okay, so this is slightly off-topic but it still has to do with into the woods. Yesterday I had my audition at Marymount Manhattan and in my audition group this kid did a monologue from into the woods. First of all you can't do monologues from musicals and second of all he took "hello, little girl" and turned it into a monologue. This basically consisted of him speaking the lyrics and looking rather idiotic. It wasn't even funny, I felt mortified for the kid. (Oh, yeah and he also sang defying gravity. enough said.)
I really hope to God he's not reading this because then I'd feel worse. But I honestly felt so bad for the kid because he had no idea what he was doing.

Suit on up and come brace my sword
You look back when the pieces are missing
Hollowed out hope that no time can restore."
