Ok so! I want to take two songs and make them one.
In the sheet music of cinderella, the beginning of Lovely night is actually a separate song. Is it appropriate to put a song into Finale and change it?
I just want to put the two parts where Cinderella sings together to make it a full song.
I've heard of people doing it with monologues.

Well, splicing together monologues from scenes is a little different than putting two songs together. Performing the song for money might be an issue. But it sounds like you're asking about it in terms of an audition, so I don't see why it wouldn't be okay to write your own "arrangement" of the song(s). Just give credit where credit is due and don't pretend like it was originally written that way by the composers.

Also, make sure the accompaniment fits together well. Otherwise, you might have a huge mess of a song.

yeah it works well. I'm gonna thrown it in finale and raise it a half step too.
hey its about doing what makes me sound best right?
and yes this is for auditions for school.
