this sounds so much like a bad movie. "flipper - this time with deadly toxic darts!"

The 'bad' part is that we're co-opting these amazing animals to help play out our perverse war games. Shameful and pathetic.

Thanks, Glebb - me, too!
And I'd rather talk about the brilliance of Mr. Gershwin any day over the use of dolphins to make human war
If we could figure out a way to allow Dolphins to vote this world would be a better place.

According to a charming little fictional tale called "Message From Down Under", the dolphins HAVE voted - and they have voted to work toward leaving the planet because humans are fu*king it up so badly!
ok, acknowledging the abject horror of what's being done to the dolfins, i may have linked to the wrong headline. also, if they were in the gulf, isn't it possible, although highly unlikely, that they are even now prowling the streets of new orleans hunting their next victims?

It was worth opening the link just for this line:
"Heavily-armed, frightened, and confused. No, we don't mean the Bush Administration . . ."

I agree that the whole using dolphin's for humans' evil purposes is bad. But this is a funny story! Killer dolphins sneaking up on stupid unsuspecting humans who are swimming while high? That's some funny sh!t!!! It's also karmic. It's like, "Remember that tuna net, beeyotch? Well, net this!"
