I've been eating the rest of the fruit and chocolate cookies that didn't make it into the gift tins. I ate at least 6 today. And now, I got a sugar headache on the top of my head. I hate that.

It started when we got $14 of deluxe Belgian chocolate cookies from Costco.

Then Target had Pepperidge Farm assorted cookie tins on sale. Mom bought three.

Then we got a pound of butterscotch cookies, cranberry bread, and macaroons from a friend.

I'm in a downward spiral, y'all. Now there's banana pudding in the fridge (I feel you, Schmerg - I hate bananas AND pudding and yet I went back for seconds) and I have a feeling it's only starting to get worse.

This is what New Year's resolutions are for, right, guys?

My mom works for a day care, so all the little kids gave her candy and cookies as Christmas presents. Brownies, chocolate candies, chocolate covered pretzels, sugar cookies, you name it.

Then last night we had gingerbread cake and cream puffs for dessert.

This morning, we had cinnamon rolls while opening gifts.

And then, my grandmom brought more cookies.

Not to mention there are several candy dishes around our house.

I think I consumed enough food today to last me through the week...

I didn't have dessert yesterday, but I did enjoy THE most delicious eggplant parm, meatballs, baked ziti, homemade pizza (my cousin even made the dough!), shrimp cocktail and broccoli sauteed with garlic and oil. Yum!

What is one more piece of cherry cheesecake in the grand scheme of things? May as well throw it down. Eating like this can become as addictive as crack! Seriously, I truly am done with all this tomorrow.


btw I did run 3 miles earlier today. That has to burn off at least 10 of the cookies I ate.

well maybe not 10. At least 4 or 5.
