Posted: 7/30/06 at 2:57pmThere are several songs on my iTunes that will not play. Whenever I click on them a box pops up that says "The song 'INSERT SONG HERE' could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" If I hit yes, I can't find it and if I hit cancel, I can't play it. Has anyone else had this problem before?

Yup, it means you either deleted the file, renamed the file, or moved the folder it was in...
Perhaps trying running a computer search for the name of the file if you can't find it.

Posted: 7/30/06 at 3:29pmyea, its happened to me before. ive had it happen because of what BluCat mentioned and i also got songs from my friends computer that she had downloaded and they would work on my ipod but not itunes on my computer because i was on a diff computer.

Ditto the above.
What's weird about my iTunes was that one day, I double clicked a song to play it, and when it started playing, it changed from the title to "Track (whichever number)" and I had to go back and fix the titles. Pain in the butt. Don't know why that happened.
