The venue, the former Loew's 175 th St, was a former movie palace designed by Thomas Lamb
It was one of 5 Loews Wonder Theaters in NYC (1 in Jersey City). It is absolutely eye popping. This is the way movies were meant to be seen. They still have weekend services & it is worth a look

Norn, you create a world in each of your pieces that is so intoxicating it makes us feel as though we are experiencing the event.

Posted: 6/3/07 at 1:46pmRev Ike, who owns the theater, finally realized he needed to fill the seats on those days when it is not in use as a church.It has almost 3,000 seats & it is perfect for live entertainment which it did have when it first opened.

Jónas Sen is the keyboardist for Björk on her VOLTA tour & he writes a regular column for the Icelandic newspaper, MORGUNBLADID. he wrote about the tour this week & published my illustration with the article!
