does anyone know what musical the song not afraid is from. All I know is that michael arden sings it! And if it is from a musical do you know where I can get the sheet music for it!

It's his own material. I think he wrote it for his musical Easter Rising. And also, it sounds like it's Gavin Creel singing it...not him :)...yep, it's definitely Gavin.

I'm just now listening to Creel's take on this song--after obsessing over Benj's--and the strings are GORGEOUS!!!! I mildly prefer Benj's (sin sin, I know, since Gavin is my absolute hero), but those strings.

Yeah I got the sheet music to this song, and am working on with with my voice teacher.
What I did was I sent a message to Michael Ardens Myspace music page, and then he sent me one back saying to email some address, and then a day later I had the songs sheet music emailed to me.

Yeah this song is from Easter Rising. It's easily available I do believe. I haven't seen anyone use it as an audition piece yet but feel like it could probably be done poorly very easily. The notes aren't too terribly hard, but the emotion of the piece is I feel complex and layered. I like this song; I may use it next semester in my voice lessons.
