joe, let me 'splain the guidelines as set up during the last 5 years (heh!): anything bad that happens anywhere in the world is the fault of the president; anything good that happens can be attributed to anyone but the president.

i did not make the rules, but i am really, really gonna enjoy following them for the next four years until president palin is swept to power amid the almost entire collapse of the united states economy, bitter military defeats around the globe and near constant terrorist attacks at home.

ok, ok, so it won't be palin. but it was worth it to see your eyes get all big like that.

If Bush had destroyed the Taliban in Afghanistan instead of pointlessly shifting to Iraq, America might have brought stability to the Near East.

yep, that whole peace plan by capitulating seems to be working like gangbusters for pakistan.

unfortunately, joe, that is one rule which i adamantly opposed and was able to have blocked in the rules committee hence it never was brought to a vote. but i applaud your effort to be just exactly like your hero goth.

Defense and congressional officials say President Barack Obama has approved an increase in U.S. forces for the flagging war in Afghanistan. The Obama administration is expected to announce on Tuesday or Wednesday that it will send one additional Army brigade and an unknown number of Marines to Afghanistan this spring. One official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the total is about 17,000 troops.

That would be the first installment on a larger influx of U.S. forces that have been widely expected this year. It would get a few thousand troops in place in time for the increase in fighting that usually comes with warmer weather and ahead of national elections this summer.

Nobody had a problem with the American Taliban taking over Congress and the White House. Why the upset over Pakistan?

It's funny how tricky things like that are. For example a lot of us were determined to hate Bush from the start. That he proved us clairvoyant is another matter entirely...

But I don't think Obama has substantially done anything yet to merit Rush's ire, aside from winning the election (which was probably enough for Limbaugh). The country voted to do try Obama's ideas to fix the economy. Whatever the Republicans say, the fact remains that they let the ball drop and they're asking us to continue with those same policies that got us into a mess in the first place.

I just feel like the middle east is a whole different enchilada, and I get really depressed when I think about what a sorry mess Obama's inherited from the last guy, whatsisface.

Obama's stimulus bill gives new meaning to the phrase"bringing home the bacon" as it is full of pork.

10 % is actually what is being spent on infrastructure. Does not seem like nearly enough does it?

You seem to want to play the economist Mr. Roxy...you tell us. 78.7 billion sounds like quite a bit to me. But, I'm sure your plan to stimulate the economy is much better...please share with us what you would do.
