ouch!

ok so yesterday i woke up and couldn't move half my face but figured i'd slept on my jaw funny. Today i wake up and cant open my mouth without agonising pain and my neck and cheeks are all swelled up. It hurts so much... hurts to even draw on a cig and it's driving me insane. They think it is a nasty infection but have tested me for mumps and ofcourse it happens a week before my professional debut. So im at home wrapped in a sleeping bag, in pain and feeling sorry for myself... hows everyone else?

i look like im hooked on steroids type swelling!

Oh, Beergoggles! So sorry to hear about this. Do get better SOON! Actually, I know someone who had an infection which sounds very like yours. Doctors never did figure out exactly what caused it, but it was cleared up with HEAVY DUTY antibiotics and cortisone pills (very short term on these, obviously). Let us all know how you're doing!

it is James Dean cool because it's result of my bad boy lifestyle! Well that's blatently a lie but with all the medication im doesed up to the eyeballs and everything seems quite wonderful at the moment!

That happened to me the other day! I woke up and I couldn't open my mouth all the way; it hurt like hell for two days! I'm back to normal, but I know how you feel!

well i could eat... but not anymore! It's looking more and more likely like i have mumps which means no show! I cant open mouth to chew now which means i'm living on ice cream and rusks (baby food) but it hurts so much, seriously this is unbearable. I'm now so doped up on medication i'm not awake that much and i have a double chin and hamster cheeks... seriously that's how swelled i am! I had a fever most of last night and my mum ended up having to sit and wipe a cold wet towel over my face because it was literally burning! The medication doesn't seem to be doing that much yet... but there's time. On the plus side it's an excuse to lie on the sofa and chill... hey! if you don't laugh you'll cry right?

Have you gone to the dentist recently? You may have an infection in the root of your nerve which will cause major swelling. Antibiotics may cure it temporarily but if there is something wrong beneath the surface it'll eventually come back.

yes my teeth are fine lol. It's not just the face it's the throat also... it kinda looks like i have a really really thick neck... same size as head type thing!

change of plan... it's getting worse! My face is now so fat that i don't have a neck... i have a double chin and it really hurts. Looks like i wont be doing my play now because the doctor said the swelling would go down after 24 hours unless it was mumps and the swelling is just getting bigger.
