That looks bad but there have been much worse. I watch these crazy shows like on TLC and stuff.
There was some kind of accident where 2 girls were thrown from the vehicle and both landed of the same pole and the pole went through both their bodies. They had to saw the pole to seperate the girls but if they sawed it, it would wiggle and cause more damage to their bodies- it was through their chest and stomach it looked like. They somehow got an "extra large" ambulance and put the girls in it with the pole through them and after a while, the surgeon carefully burned the metal to loosen it or something like that and then sawed it and the 2 girls could be seperate but still had the pole through each of them. In the end, I think all was ok.
