well, i've just recently rediscovered Ann Miller(I'd forgotten how much i adored her, sad isn't it?) and was looking up her autobiography, Miller's High Life, only to find out that it was out of print. i guess first off, has anyone read this book? good, bad? worth trying to find? i checked out getting it used off of amazon, but i don't have any experience with that sort of thing and don't know how reliable it is.

and i guess to make this a bit broader of a topic, does anyone know of any good sites or bookstores to find out of print or hard to find books? i'm sure it would be helpful to more than just myself.

You can do a search on out of print books and come up with some retailers.

If you're in New York, try The Strand.

When you buy used items from Amazon there is a seller rating of satisfaction, much like Ebay. Ebay has many out of print books a great prices.

abe.com is a great on-line resource. You'll generally find any book you're looking for in a variety of conditions, from pristine first editions to down and dirty.

I have bought used off of Amazon many, MANY times, and have never had a problem. You'll notice people rate who they buy used from, like EBAY.....so if the rating sucks, don't buy.
