Posted: 6/8/07 at 9:19pmI heard Greta on Fox and she said she was 2 feet away from Paris. She said she was quivering and twitching. She said she was visibly sick and said if she had shown up like that on her doorstep- she would have taken her immediately to a doctor. Greta had such an excitable voice- kinda strange. Sure those symptoms could come from infections but they can also be from drug withdrawals. One of the reports said she wasn't taking her meds- whatever! She could have earned a little respect if she would have just served her sentence with dignity like Martha Stewart did.

Here's the issue - in LA County, anyone other non-violent offender would have already been released.
She is not being treated like everyone else. She is now stuck in a power-play between a judge who seems a little full of himself and a Sheriff that actually tried to release her on conditions - which was more restrictive than the average person.
The Sheriff could have just released her after 5 days for overcrowding, but instead, decided to require her to be monitored and under "house arrest." Because he did not release her outright, the Judge had the authority (which is rarely, if ever exercised) to intervene.
I don't like her at all, but think that she is being made an example of.
She pissed the judge off something good, and now he is taking everything personally - to the point of extremes.

I especially like "Is this true? Yes, 100 percent (warning: may not be true)."
And I'm not trying to defend her, but her "symptoms" could also be the result of emotional overload.

So what if she has an emotional overload. Plenty of people do when they get sent to jail and they don't get released.

Yes she is, because, once again, you can't make an example out of someone that no one knows.
She flauted the law, played stupid, blamed others, acted like a child, oh, and was arrested multiple times for DUI.
Does she have to finally kill someone before it makes it right for some of you?

The Sheriff could have just released her after 5 days for overcrowding, but instead, decided to require her to be monitored and under "house arrest."
I thought that part of the problem was that they've 'fixed' the overcrowding issue since the Michelle Rodriguez days, though, which was why the sheriff *couldn't* release her due to overcrowding, as there is no more of the overcrowding, and so that is why he had to come up with this bulls*it "medical condition" reason?
If he could've used the overcrowding excuse he should have just done so.

Posted: 6/9/07 at 12:33amWhether or not she has that actual medical condition, the real reason that she was released was because she was on the verge of a mental breakdown and she was making herself sick.

My understanding is that there is a soft 10% rule, and today, Sheriff Baca said himself that someone in her circumstances would either receive an electronic bracelet, or already released.
